Johnathan's First Christmas

Crawling to the gift...

Not quite sure if he thought the "prize" was worth it ;)

7 Months

• He got his two bottom teeth. He got his first one Dec 9th and his second Dec 13th.
• He started babbling Da-da-da-da repeatedly just after Thanksgiving.
  
• He is crawling. He began pulling forward on Dec 9th, and then progressively got better. He goes faster the better the prize, loves our cell phones ;)
• He has begun sitting up on his own.
• Has had yogurt, pumpkin and green beans this month. (He tried peaches and they seemed to cause him to spit up more).
• He loves his spoon.
  
• Still loves jumping in his jumperoo, not sure how long it will last.
• Takes two naps a day, and sometimes a short nap in the evening.

6 Months

• At his 6 month check up he weight 13 lbs 6 ounces and was 26 inches long.
• He is starting to stand on his legs if you hold him up.
• Loves jumping in his jumperoo, in the last 2 weeks he enjoys his time in it rather than wanting to get out...he loves kicking his little legs in it to make it move!
• Is trying to get the cats. If he is in his chair getting ready to eat and one walks by, he tries to bend over to reach them.
• He is trying to crawl...by laying on his belly and kicking his legs...still working on it. Has started rolling around again, and moves pretty well around the room.
• He is sitting up pretty well in a chair, he spends so much time on his tummy.
  
• If either one of the cats or dogs comes close enough for him to touch him, he gets excited.
• Eats 3 times a day about 3 ounces (sometimes more!) at a time.
• He still loves his bananas and avocado.
• He takes 2 to 3 naps a day at pretty consistent times.
• When we travel in the car, if he is not sleeping, he is usually sitting there looking around and sucking on his two fingers.
• He has had his 3rd hair cut.
• Loves playing with his feet.

Sweet Potatoes

He likes his sweet potatoes...he will eat his squash if it is mixed in with them :)

Pumpkins

We had every intention of making it to a pumpkin patch...but I waited until the last weekend in October and ran out of time.

We took pictures of him by some displays on the square in Longview.
