New Years Eve

We got a picture on New Year's Eve, which I am glad I took since we weren't feeling well on Saturday.

Johnathan's First Christmas

Crawling to the gift...

Not quite sure if he thought the "prize" was worth it ;)

7 Months

You can see his two teeth in the picture

• He got his two bottom teeth. He got his first one Dec 9th and his second Dec 13th.
• He started babbling Da-da-da-da repeatedly just after Thanksgiving.
  
• He is crawling. He began pulling forward on Dec 9th, and then progressively got better. He goes faster the better the prize, loves our cell phones ;)
• He has begun sitting up on his own.
• Has had yogurt, pumpkin and green beans this month. (He tried peaches and they seemed to cause him to spit up more).
• He loves his spoon.
  
• Still loves jumping in his jumperoo, not sure how long it will last.
• Takes two naps a day, and sometimes a short nap in the evening.

6 Months

• At his 6 month check up he weight 13 lbs 6 ounces and was 26 inches long.
• He is starting to stand on his legs if you hold him up.
• Loves jumping in his jumperoo, in the last 2 weeks he enjoys his time in it rather than wanting to get out...he loves kicking his little legs in it to make it move!
• Is trying to get the cats. If he is in his chair getting ready to eat and one walks by, he tries to bend over to reach them.
• He is trying to crawl...by laying on his belly and kicking his legs...still working on it. Has started rolling around again, and moves pretty well around the room.
• He is sitting up pretty well in a chair, he spends so much time on his tummy.
  
• If either one of the cats or dogs comes close enough for him to touch him, he gets excited.
• Eats 3 times a day about 3 ounces (sometimes more!) at a time.
• He still loves his bananas and avocado.
• He takes 2 to 3 naps a day at pretty consistent times.
• When we travel in the car, if he is not sleeping, he is usually sitting there looking around and sucking on his two fingers.
• He has had his 3rd hair cut.
• Loves playing with his feet.

Sweet Potatoes

He likes his sweet potatoes...he will eat his squash if it is mixed in with them :)

Pumpkins

We had every intention of making it to a pumpkin patch...but I waited until the last weekend in October and ran out of time.

We took pictures of him by some displays on the square in Longview.

5 Months

• He started solids, so far he has had avocado, bananas and cereal.
  
• He grabs the spoon while he is eating to put it in his mouth.
  
• He is holding his bottle when Johnny is feeding him.
• He is sitting up well with support.
• Rolls back and forth all the time. Sometimes he will roll completely, but normally he just rolls back and forth.
• He is sticking everything in his mouth.
• He loves sucking on his bottom lip.
• Is reaching over his head for his toys on his play mat or his jumperoo.
• Is grabbing at our faces when we are holding him.
• We had to trim his hair again. This time we did it while he was laying down after a bath. We only could reach the front section and need to do some trimming BUT it is out of his eyes.
• Still sleeps good at night.
  
• For the last 3 days he has done good napping 2 long naps and then going down after his 5th feed and we wake him up for his last feed and then he goes back down to sleep for the night. (Usually he talks himself back to sleep.)
  

Mineola Nature Preserve

Last Sunday we went to the Mineola nature preserve for a church picnic - Johnathan seemed to enjoy it.

Bananas

While we were eating dinner, he got so fussy, so we decided to try to see if he wanted to eat, and he attacked the spoon while we were feeding him! He was eating bananas.

Avocado

First Airplane Ride

He did great on the plane ride both ways. He slept the whole time going to California and he woke up and fell back asleep a few times coming back. He did great while I was there, much better than I was expecting.

We went by Bass Pro Shops why we were in Dallas. We tried to find a hat that would fit him, but his head is too small! We ended up getting him one that he can grow in to. This one says Dear Fear Me.

Picking Grapes

4 months

We don't have an after the haircut - he was not a happy camper at the end of it...

• He is sleeping 10-11 hours at night, we have had only a couple of nights that he didn't sleep good and that was during his growth spurt and when he started rolling.
• He is rolling over, don't think I'll catch the complete roll as he seems to have lost interest in rolling completely vs just going tummy to back or back to tummy as he desires.
• Chews on his hands, burp cloth, shirt, bib, taggie or whatever else he can get to his mouth.
• He found his thumb, but normally sucks on his two fingers.
• Is sitting up good in his bumbo.
• Has started jumping a little in his jumperoo, likes it, but only enjoys it for about 30 minutes.
• Weighed 12 lbs at 3.5 months, we think he is now between 12.5 and 13 pounds. He was measured at 25.25 inches.
• Got his first haircut
• Is trying to hold his bottle (Johnny says he did, I haven't seen it yet)
